Born 1983, Ankara, Turkey. I originally graduated in Environmental Engineering, but instead of this I chose this entirely different path for my life and have been working full time as a botanical artist for over 10 years. I am very glad I made this decision, though as the child of a botanist father and growing up surrounded by wild nature made my decision easy.

Transylvania Florilegium – Exhibition

I’m very proud to be one of the artist who participate Transylvania Florilegium. I haven’t seen it yet but this monumental book is published. And we are ready to celebrate.

The Romanian Cultural Institute and The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation invited me to celebrate the publication of The Transylvania Florilegium in the presence of His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. I haven’t had a chance to attend this book launch as I was on 3000 m altitute chasing after some plants for my ongoing book project.

The original watercolour paintings by leading botanical artists commissioned to record the rich and diverse flora of Transylvania, the area of Romania that is famous for the beauty of its countryside and wild flowers.

The paintings are loaned with the kind permission of HRH The Prince of Wales.

The exhibition will take place at the Romanian Cultural Institute between 21 May and 12 June.
