Born 1983, Ankara, Turkey. I originally graduated in Environmental Engineering, but instead of this I chose this entirely different path for my life and have been working full time as a botanical artist for over 10 years. I am very glad I made this decision, though as the child of a botanist father and growing up surrounded by wild nature made my decision easy.

At the end of the workshops – Barcelona

At the Barcelona workshops that we have made since 2014, this year we have done a lot of paintings for two intensive weeks with beginner and advanced botanical artists. But this year we had the opportunity to make our workshop at a new studio. We use Nuria’s studio at the Poblenou district and  we were alone in this studio, which provided us with a more comfortable and free working environment. Other workshops, cafes and galleries around the studio allowed us to have a pleasant time after each course day. The course attendance was full and people came from all over the world, Chilean from Denmark, Iranian from Germany, Venezuelan from Mallorca, Turkish from France. People from everywhere in the world and in one room, sounds like the world has no borders. I practiced the classes in Spanish, but due to these various participants, I had to use English and Turkish frequently. Although I am exhausted from using the three languages at the same time, I can say that whatever your language is, you can join these workshops and communicate with each other, after all, our common language is painting.
